About Purse-Les
Purse-Les ® was founded in April 2010 by Leslie Van Dorf.
I was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised by loving parents in Dousman, WI. I have been a professional stylist for over 20 years and pride myself in having things look just right. I have always had a bright outlook, a warm heart and a propensity to just help other people.
Over the years I found myself in various situations where it was not convenient or allowed to have a purse to hold my essential items. Whether it was a night out with friends or a sporting event where I had to check my purse; I always wished I had an easier place to hold my identification, money, credit cards and make-up. At times I heard that some women in this situation were using their bras as a holder for these items, so why not make it convenient with pockets for a better look?
We women have a problem traveling light. We use our purses to hold our credit cards, our money, cell phones, lipstick, other personal items and, of course, our favorite fragrance. Let’s face it; a purse can be just downright nasty. It has been shown that the bottom of a purse carries more bacteria than the bottom of our shoes. They are set on rest room floors and counters, hung on door hooks, placed on chair seats, and dumped in many other undesirable places. They collect a variety of disgusting organisms that we would rather not bring home.
Perhaps even more threatening are the eyes and hands attracted by an interesting purse. It is not only the loss and inconvenience of the replacing or learning to do without the contents of our purse, but now the thief has our keys, our address, basically our complete identity. Scary stuff in these times of rampant identity theft! We deserve to go safely into airports, restaurants and shopping malls; enjoying the parties and festivals in life. Bags are burdensome and make us extremely vulnerable.
Thus, the Purse-Les ®.
For years I tried to find a way to produce the Purse-Les ® which was met with difficulty in getting support from lawyers and manufacturers. Along came SJ Manufacturing. Seymour Jaron was a believer and an individual truly interested in helping people, the same important principle that I had growing up.
Purse-Les ® has been designed for women, with women in mind; it is both stylish and functional at the same time. Purse-Les ® tops will provide us with safe and secure ways to travel about, go to sporting events, and even work-out with all you need close to your body where it will be safe and secure. Never attracting negative attention, you will love the Purse-Les ® style and the personal liberty these products provide. You will be your own person and enjoy a brand new personal freedom. That is who I am, that is Purse-Les ® and who I want you to become. Move forward; see the world with new eyes. Life is short so, be that strong independent woman we were all intended to be.
If my product Purse-Les ® helps just one woman avoid going through the pain and cost of having her purse stolen, or makes her feel independent, this will all be worthwhile…Purse-Les ® will most certainly help us all, from the everyday woman to the business executive, we can all use something that is convenient, provides independence and increases our mobility. Having just a few key items, and having those items secure on your personal self enables us to go about much less inhibited.
Today, I have one priority that has never changed, my two children, which I enjoy giving every opportunity in life. My hobbies include sports, exercise, horses, and of course my precious dog, Sammy. In my free time, I volunteer at a local women’s shelter, helping with my warm heart and making them feel good about themselves.
To follow my beliefs in helping other people, I have started the LVD Foundation and will donate 3% of the revenues of Purse-Les ® to the LVD Foundation. The LVD Foundation donates 100% of its money to women causes which include breast cancer research and women shelters across America.
All women have value, and should be free to pursue all that makes them truly happy. My hope for you is that you will become that self-assured woman that personifies all that is Purse-Les ®.
